They are made to a tried and tested design used over many years by wheelchair users and are a simple and effective solution for hand protection.

PALMPUSHERS are supplied in four standard sizes (S. M. L. XL.). The sizes are determined by the circumference of the hand just below the fingers around the back of the knuckles. The gloves fit to the palm using a thumb hole and a securing strap which fastens over the back of the hand using Velcro. Click here for photographs.

PALMPUSHERS are made from best quality black hide and stitched by a leather craftsman. The Velcro fastening is both stitched and glued. The pushing surface has a profiled stitched pad to reinforce the glove. Once they have softened up you may want to trim the gloves to your exact hand size. It will help to look at the wear pattern on the gloves as an indication of which parts are used, to ensure that they are not cut away. With time the leather will tend to lose its rough texture (especially if it is in contact with water). It is recommended that smooth areas are buffed up using a stiff wire brush.

We can supply the gloves with an applied silicone patterned facing. This enhances grip without losing glove flexibility. Supplied at an extra £5.
