PALMSTRIKERS are designed for people who have little or no tactile use of their fingers. They fit around the palm of the hand and are secured by a Velcro backstrap.

This is fastened to the correct tension by pulling on the end of the tab and pushing the Velcro together. This can easily be done independently using a combination of hands, teeth and chin. Once fitted, the lightweight tube and rubber end protrude downwards from the wrist. The tube is a push fit into the leather strap. It can easily be cut to a shorter length if required. Typical uses are: Keyboard typing with one or both hands.
Word processing and computer use -- they assist well in loading floppy disks and printer paper!
Sorting paper and written materials.
Telephone key pad dialling.
Turning pages or moving papers around a desk.

PALMSTRIKERS are supplied in three standard sizes (S. M. L.). The sizing of the strap is determined by measuring the circumference of the hand just below the fingers and around the back of the knuckles. Please supply this dimension with your order.

PALMSTRIKERS are made from best quality black hide and are stitched by a leather craftsman. The Velcro fastening is both glued and stitched. The inserts are lightweight aluminium tubes and the tips are pencil end erasers. Replacements can be bought from most stationers.
